Waterfront Marathon Campus Wide Enclosure

Sunday, October 19, 2025, 8:00am to 11:00am (tentatively)

Please be advised of the Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Half-Marathon & 5K Race that will be encompassing the University of Toronto St. George Campus over the weekend of Sunday, October 19, 2025.

As part of this run, many city roads around campus will be closed to accommodate the race. This will greatly impact parking and traffic around campus this weekend.

Please note, if possible, we strongly discourage driving to campus, especially on Sunday October 19th, when campus will be completely inaccessible to vehicles from early morning to early (possibily mid) afternoon. With greater than usual volumes of traffic due to the multiple road closures in the downtown area, please anticipate significant delays and arrange travel plans with this in mind.

See below for details:

Saturday October 18: 4am – 12pm (tentatively):

  • Various city road closures south of campus (starting at Dundas Street West and moving down to Lakeshore Blvd).  Access to campus will be maintained.

Sunday October 19: 8am – 11am (tentatively):

  • There will be no vehicular access to campus during this time (significant closures will preceed and follow this time period).
  • As the race progresses there may be delays in the reopening of roads, continuing to render campus and parking facilities inaccessible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at transportation@utoronto.ca or 416.978.7275.
